WELCOME.  Welcome to Seven Hill's Sonata Park, a City of Henderson—Compass Point offering mindful places of rest, reflection, and renewal to connect you with the natural world and your profound inner nature.

WHY.   People and our planet are experiencing chronic stress. The City of Henderson is an inaugural member of The Compass, a network of nature-based places of hope and healing called Compass Points. These places are dedicated to promoting the mental, physical, and spiritual health benefits of spending time in nature and fostering care and concern for our common home.  

WANDER. OBSERVE. WONDER.  Sonata Park and its Compass Point reflect the beauty of a Sonata, a type of musical composition. Composer and pianist Ludwig van Beethoven's sonatas including his ode to nature, Pastorale, and Moonlight Sonata were inspired by his love of the natural world. 

As you wander the park, be attentive to nature's sonatas ... the chirping of crickets or the song of the wind and birds. Contemplate your Sonata ... the music of your soul. How can your inner song help you move through the park or your day?
